CPM Wolverine Proctor has openings for a number of Mechanical Design Engineers to work with our Engineering Department in East Kilbride, Scotland. Job Responsibilities

• Engineering design and release of BOM’s and drawings in new equipment orders, rehabs, and parts orders or internally generated projects.
• Participate in the order review process, critique and feed-back meetings.
• Attend customer meetings as requested by Sales.
• Prepare work plan and resource requirements to meet job schedules.
• Perform engineering calculations, purchased part selection and prepare specifications.
• Oversee the generation of new or revised designs and approve the release of all required BOM's and drawings.
• Evaluate and approve or reject all requests for engineering changes or deviations.
• Process all Sales Change Orders involving engineering documents.
• Issue weekly project status reports.
• Establish and request weekly design/drafting service requirements.
• Adhere to good mechanical engineering and design practices and assure conformance to applicable industrial standards and codes.
• Review all warranty claim and field reports.
• Assure completeness of job file and change/addition history.

Minimum Job Requirements

• HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Must have 8-12 years experience in design engineering experience, preferably in Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical capital equipment industries.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) with respect to the engineering and design of food grade processing equipment.
• Working knowledge of welding and sheet metal design is desirable as well as material handling, heat transfer, air handling, and power transmission technologies.
• Must be CAD capable, Inventor/Mechanical Desktop preferable.
